Riverside once more hosted the County Longbow Champs, this year also with a class for American Flat Bows.
The Riverside members pulled out all stops to get the field ready, look after all of the competitors and keep them fed, and put it all away afterwards.
The weather was as good as we could ever have hoped for with a cooler day than we’ve had for a while and only a slight breeze. The usual Riverside wind must be on holiday!
While the results were being sorted there was a wand shoot off. £1 entry and winner takes all. When it got to 4 archers we realised 3 of them were called Dave, with one of them being the eventual winner!
The raffle had an impressive range of prizes, thanks to the generous donations from Riverside members, with our own club folk successful in gaining a prize or two.
Riverside took a number of medals & trophies and won the Team Trophy.
